Fourtwelve staff

Everybody has a story. This is mine. I grew up in Mount Pleasant, Texas. I had a wonderful family that had me in church at two weeks old. My grandfather got me started playing music at 8 years old by buying a cheap Casio keyboard and the fiddle which I have today. Together, we traveled to every bluegrass and western-swing festival, cafe jam session, and fiddle contest in Texas. Without him, I wouldn't be doing what I do. I started playing Saturday Night Opry Houses across the South and finally ended up back home at the Pleasant Jamboree Opry where I played as house fiddle/piano player for 5 years. Apart from Saturdays, I spent most of my time putting miles on the road playing every place that would let me play. God has given me the opportunities to meet and jam with a bunch of well known musicians, and for that, I am thankful.

I have spent a great deal of time studying music and couldn't list all the people that I've jammed all night with and gotten a great deal of knowledge from but here are a few: Johnny Gimble, Danny Levin, Paul Anastasio, John Blake, Christian Howes, Berklee College of Music, McLennan Community College, University of Arkansas at Monticello, and hopefully the list will continue until I die.

As part of the Four-Twelve team, I guess I could be called the production guy. I make sure that everything looks, sounds, feels, and smells great when you come to an event. Apart from teaching music and production classes at "ReThink," I also hold down the Keys and Fiddle for worship at "Commit.” Hope to see you there!
