Fourtwelve staff

I was raised by two parents who found great value in a relationship with Christ. They had me in church as early as I can remember. Of course, in all my infinite stupidity, I have taken that for granted on many occasions. I feel that we as Americans, especially those of us in the 'Bible Belt', forget what Jesus meant when He said, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it." (Mat 16:24-25) I don't think we understand that verse. Do we live our lives like it? Almost all of us do not. We think because we go to church, lead a small group, or read our Bible that that is the 'Good Christian' equation. Grace is a free gift that has been given to me. Inevitably, I will fail perfection. But my goal is not perfection, rather to give glory to the one who perfects.
